Artist, designer, media personality, techie and mom. Always somewhere between cultures, languages and worlds.

I'm a storyteller first. Everything I make is a way of finding out what something means.

I was born in Bahrain with Pakistani roots, and I've always lived in the in-between: two cultures, three languages, and more careers than I can count on one hand. I used to think that was a problem to solve. Now I think it's the point.

What moves me is change: the moment an idea turns into something people can hold, play, wear or hear. I've told stories through oil paint, video games, NFTs, brands, radio and fabric, and each new medium taught me something the last one couldn't.

I explore because I want to understand, and I create because that's how I make meaning. Some of it worked, some of it didn't, and all of it led somewhere.

I'm also a traveller, and I like my travel with a purpose. In 2014 I spent a volunteer vacation at Narkoy, a permaculture farm in Turkey.

The journey, so far

Journeys matter more than destinations, and they're never what we assume. I never liked drawing as a child; I ended up an artist. I started in fitness and management; I ended up making games, brands and radio.

Every turn looked like a detour at the time. Looking back, each one was the road.
